If you’ve been thinking about taking a trip, then definitely do a Contiki!
I recently went on Contiki’s European Magic Tour and I can honestly say I had the time of my life! Not only did I get to travel to many amazing countries, but I also got to meet and develop long lasting friendships with good, fun-loving people from around the world which made my Contiki tour that much better!
One of the many great things about Contiki is that it does not matter if you book a trip with a friend or on your own because you travel with other 18-35 year olds and are bound to become great friends with your tour mates!
We did everything from roaming the streets of the Red Light District in Amsterdam, taking a bike tour in Munich in the pouring rain (EPIC!), bobsledding in Austria, fine dining and shopping in Italy, spending the night in a jail in Switzerland, to sightseeing and enjoying a Can Can show at the Moulin Rouge in Paris!
Excuse that run-on sentence, if you look past the poor sentence structure you’ll notice that Contiki makes sure you do everything possible while on tour! Those are just some of the day activities; night life is an entirely different paragraph!
I like to go out, plain and simple, so obviously I could not wait to experience Europe’s night life and let me tell you, Contiki knows the best of the best spots in every country. Luckily our tour manager was a good time waiting to happen (Shout out to Lee Baker!) and he took us to all the best local spots and because of that I can say that I went to a dub step club in Amsterdam, did a bar crawl in Switzerland, and went to a Canadian bar in Paris!
Seriously, a Canadian bar IN PARIS!! I would have never known about such a place without Contiki. We had just ended a fantastic night tour of Paris where we got to see the City of Lights in all its glory and then we made our way over to The Great Canadian Pub. As random of a bar as that sounds, the night we spent there was definitely one of my favorites. Mostly because my tour mates were such a fun group so every night out was a great one AND we got to party with all the locals!!
Imagine walking into a jam packed bar during the final minutes of an important football game with everyone chanting and cheering on their team to win! After the victory, everyone in the bar started singing and of course we all indulged in a celebratory round of drinks! Did I mention that this was only the beginning of the night?? Like I said, good times all the time!
I could go on and on about how great a time I had while on my Contiki, but I only have 500 words and honestly, none really do Contiki enough justice. In short, if you are in the mood for a good time and a hassle free trip where everything is planned out for you, then there is no better choice than Contiki!
